Age 42, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at OHSU in Portland, Oregon. He was born in Roseburg, Oregon on June 3, 1974, to Bruce Edward Waldier and Bonnie Marie (Canning) Waldier. He was a 1992 graduate of Elkton High School and a 2014 graduate of Umpqua Community College. He was a devoted father, son, brother and compassionate friend. Chris loved fishing the river, bodybuilding and working on his property. Chris was known for his big heart and spent every spare moment with his children.
Chris is survived by his children Tessa Waldier (18), Caeden Waldier (10), and Emma Newell (10); his mother Bonnie Marie (Canning) Waldier of Sutherlin, OR; his brother and sisters Rick (Ruby) Schwartz of Houston, Texas, Angie (Jeff) Sheets of Portland, Oregon, and Teresa (Steve) Gleason of Dallas, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Edward Waldier; and his grandparents Betty and Arnold Canning and John and Phyllis Waldier.
Chris also leaves behind a very special friend, Sarah Black, and so many friends, including Garth Green. Chris loved his siblings, nieces and nephews, and enjoyed teasing them when they were young. We will miss him every day until we meet again in heaven.
In honor of Chris’ life, a memorial will be held at The Father’s House, located at 378 E. Second Ave., Sutherlin, OR on Friday, April 14, 2017, at 7 p.m.
